Temporary tattoos for every mood, style and placement

How to print your own temporary tattoos at home

What you need, how to print a test page and how to cut and apply Inkwish digital tattoo designs on temporary tattoo paper.

Every Inkwish design is a digital download, so you print it yourself on temporary tattoo paper. It takes a home printer, a pair of scissors and about ten minutes. Here is the whole process.

What you need

Temporary tattoo paper made for your printer type (inkjet or laser), your downloaded design file, sharp scissors, and a damp cloth or sponge. Tattoo paper usually comes with a printable sheet and a clear adhesive sheet.

Read your paper's instructions first

Brands differ. Some papers need the design printed mirrored and some do not, and drying and pressing times vary. Always follow the instructions that came with your paper, and check that the paper is labelled as suitable for use on skin.

Print a test page

Print on plain paper first at 100% scale (turn off fit to page) to check the size and position. Then load one tattoo sheet the right way up and print. Let the ink dry fully before touching it.

Seal and cut

If your paper has an adhesive sheet, press it onto the printed sheet without bubbles. Cut around each design close to the lines, leaving a small border, so less clear film sits on your skin.

Apply it

Peel off the protective film, press the design face down on clean, dry skin, hold a damp cloth on it for the time your paper recommends, then gently peel the paper away. The how it works page shows each step, and our longevity tips help it last.

Sheets are the best value

A full sheet fills one page with matching designs, so one print can cover a group or a whole week. Try the butterfly sheet, the celestial sheet, the animal sheet, the wildflower sheets or the friends minis. Or browse every design.
